KATHMANDU, June 13: Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Pashupati SJB Rana on Sunday warned that small parties in the Constituent Assembly will take a hard decision should the big three parties fail to end the current political deadlock. Rana alleged that the three parties have given more priority to power than promulgating new constitution.

"Three main parties have engaged in power politics undermining the mandate people gave to them," he said. "Small parties will be forced to take a hard decision if the parties did not turn serious to resolve the ongoing political deadlock."

Rana, however, did not divulge what that hard decision could be. His warning comes a day after Nepal Workers and Peasants Party withdrew its support for the government. "The decision of the small parties may put the big three parties in problem if they failed to resolve the current political deadlock," he said.

He argued that the big three parties -- UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN-UML -- had forcefully extended CA term on May 28. "The big three parties have been engaging in power grab game rather than drafting new constitution on time," he said.
