Rabi Lamichhane to appear before Kathmandu District Court on Sunday

Lamichhane, who was released on bail on Thursday by the Kaski District Court in connection with the Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud case, will now appear at Kathmandu's court on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, Jan 10: Rabi Lamichhane, the former chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former home minister, will not appear at the Kathmandu District Court on Friday as previously expected. Lamichhane, who was released on bail on Thursday by the Kaski District Court in connection with the Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud case, will now appear at Kathmandu's court on Sunday.

The Kaski District Court Judge Nitij Rai freed  Lamichhane on a bail of Rs 6.5 million in the case involving organized crime and money laundering. Lamichhane was released from custody on Thursday after paying the bail amount. According to sources, despite initially planning to appear before the Kathmandu District Court on Friday, he will now appear before the court on Sunday.
