KATHMANDU, Sept 1: Protesters staged a march in Kathmandu by walking barefoot against the appointment of Badshah Kurmi as a provincial minister.
On Sunday, rights activists held a protest march, walking barefoot from Maitighar Mandala to Baluwatar.

The protesters demonstrated against the appointment of Badshah Kurmi, the accused in the murder of Nirmaladevi Kurmi from Banke, as a minister in Lumbini Province by the Nepali Congress.
They demanded Badshah Kurmi be removed from the ministerial position, the Nirmala Kurmi murder case be taken to the court, and the safety of the protesters be ensured.
