Probe into Sunar's custody death

KATHMANDU, June 8: The government on Tuesday formed a three-member committee to investigate into the death of Sanu Sunar of Godavari VDC-9, Lalitpur, in police custody on May 23 allegedly due to torture.



The committee has been asked to submit its report with recommendations for actions within seven days.



Director General of Department of Prison Management, Durga Prasad Bhandari, is the coordinator of the committee, the home ministry said. Joint Director at the National Investigation Department Dilip Regmi and Deputy Attorney-General Dharmaraj Poudel are the members.
