Presiding over the meeting, DL Puri, Executive Chairman of the cooperatives, presented its financial report of the year 2014/15. Chairman Puri also highlighted legitimacy, transparency, honesty and good management as the guiding mantras that helped him take the Pro-Ed to a new height with net profit of over Rs 12.2 million within this fiscal year.
Speaking at the meeting, former lawmaker and governor Tilak Rawal, chief guest of the program, suggested running the financial institute by maintaining transparency, accountability and good governance. He further stated that the Pro-Ed will go a long way if the interest of the shareholders is protected.
With over 7,000 shareholders, the meeting also honored best employees and clients with cash prizes and appreciation letters.
Held at Om Sai Catering Service and Tent House in Old Baneshwar, Narayan Chudal and Rabindra Giri had welcomed the gathering.
