Prez congratulates new Egyptian president

KATHMANDU, June 25: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has congratulated newly appointed President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr Mohamed Morsi.



In a message of felicitations to his Egyptian counterpart on Monday the President has wished for his good health, happiness and success as well as continued progress and prosperity for the people of Egypt.[break]



Stating that Nepal and Egypt share true friendship and cooperation based on mutual trust, the President expressed his confident that relations so happily subsisting between the two countries will be further strengthened during the term of office of Dr Morsi.



Similarly, Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has also extended his hearty congratulations to Mr Morsi in his election as the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.



In a message of best wishes sent today, the Prime Minister has wished for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Egypt under his able leadership. He expressed his confident that the friendly relations existing between the two countries will be further strengthened during the term of the office of Mr Morsi.



Similarly,  PM Bhattarai also congratulated Raja Pervez Ashraf for his appointment as the Prime of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.



Sending a message the prime minister wished for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Pakistan under his leadership.



He also expressed the confidence that the friendly relations between the two countries will be further strengthened during the term of office of Prime Minister Ashraf.
