KATHMANDU, March 15: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) will cut power in various parts of Kathmandu today for maintenance and related works. In a public notice, NEA informed that different distribution centers will halt electricity supply in certain areas.
NEA will shut down power in areas served by the Matatirtha feeder under the Balambu Distribution Center from 11 AM to 4 PM today for "conductor upgrading." During the same hours, the authority will cut electricity in areas under the Satungal feeder, including Kanchan Gate, Bosigaun, Bouthali, and Satungal Chowk.

Likewise, NEA will stop supplying power from 10 AM to 1 PM in areas under the Danchi feeder of the Jorpati Distribution Center, including Makalbari, Dakshindhoka, Tiwari Tole, Shiva Chowk, Aryal Gaun, Greenhill City, Bhadrabas, Na Gaun, Hariyali Nagar, and Gajarkot, to install wires at Mulpani Pipalbot.
The Mulpani feeder under the same distribution center will also face power outages from 10 AM to 1 PM in areas such as Mulpani Chaur, Thali, Thapachowk, Laxminarayan Chowk, Chapabot, Dewaldhara, Manakamana Mai Temple, Mulpani Khahare, Dumakhal, Danchi, Bhadrabas, and Gajarkot.
Similarly, NEA will halt electricity distribution in locations under the Sankhu feeder, including Naya Pati, Brahmakhel, Indrayani, Sankhu, Jarsing Pauwa, Nanglebhare, Gagal, Gagalphedi, and Mulpani Pipalbot.
NEA has assured that it will restore power earlier if workers complete the scheduled tasks ahead of time. The authority has also apologized for the inconvenience to customers.
