According to the Nepal Electricity Authority, (NEA) the outages are due to ongoing work related to underground electric lines under the Ratnapark distribution center.
The NEA has announced that electricity service will be interrupted from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The affected areas include Nepali Army Headquarters, Sundhara Telecom, Customs Department, Veterinary Hospital, Ranipokhari Police and the Ministry of Health in Babarmahal area.
