PHC calls for registration of complaints against six proposed justices

KATHMANDU, Nov 24: The Parliamentary Hearings Committee (PHC) has called for registering complaints against the six judges proposed for the post of Supreme Court (SC) justices.

KATHMANDU, Nov 24: The Parliamentary Hearings Committee (PHC) has called for registering complaints against the six judges proposed for the post of Supreme Court (SC) justices.


According to a decision taken by the PHC meeting on Friday, a public notice will be published on Saturday, setting the time limit for filing complaints against the proposed justices from November 25 to December 4.

The Judicial Council has recommended the names of Saranga Subedi, Abdul Aziz Muslim, Mahesh Sharma Paudel, Tek Prasad Dhungana, Sunil Kumar Pokharel and Bal Krishna Dhakal for the vacant posts of SC justices.


A meeting of the Judicial Council on November 21 decided to recommend the high court judges and legal practitioners to the post of SC justices.
