KATHMANDU, Dec 5: A total of 10 complaints have been filed at the Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) against the six nominees proposed for the post of the Supreme Court (SC) justices. Not a single complaint has been filed against three people.


Judges Mahesh Sharma Paudyal, Sunil Kumar Pokharel, Bal Krishna Dhakal are among those who did not receive any complaint against them. Saranga Subedi is the one who has received the most complaints, with five complaints.

Complaints were called against Saranga Subedi, Abdul Ajit Muslim, Mahesh Sharma Paudyal, Tek Prasad Dhungana, Sunil Kumar Pokharel and Bal Krishna Dhakal who were recommended by the Judicial Council for the post of the SC justices.


According to the secretariat of the PHC, 10 complaints were received from November 24 to December 4. A meeting of the PHC has been called for Thursday, December 7, to reveal the complaints after the deadline for complaint submission ended on Monday.


Similarly, a complaint was called against the proposed resident ambassador for Portugal, Sunil Nepal, along with the proposed judge. A complaint has also been filed against him.
