KATHMANDU, September 1: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) has initiated a 10-day period for accepting complaints against the nomination of Supreme Court (SC) Justice Binod Sharma. In a meeting held today, the committee decided to invite complaints against Sharma within the specified timeframe.

Binod Sharma, a 62-year-old resident of Okhaldhunga, was recommended for appointment as a justice following a meeting of the Judicial Council on August 27. His name had also been recommended in August of the previous year, but due to the unavailability of parliamentary hearing at that time, the appointment process could not proceed. However, during the recent Judicial Council meeting on August 27, he was once again recommended for the role of a justice.
