PHC approves Bharat Raj Paudyal’s recommendation as Nepali Ambassador to Canada

KATHMANDU, Nov 26: The Parliamentary Hearings Committee (PHC) has approved the name of Bharat Raj Paudyal as the Nepali Ambassador to Canada.

KATHMANDU, Nov 26: The Parliamentary Hearings Committee (PHC) has approved the name of Bharat Raj Paudyal as the Nepali Ambassador to Canada.


The PHC unanimously approved name of Paudyal, who currently serves as Foreign Secretary, as the ambassador designate to Canada following a hearing on Sunday.

With this decision, the president now has the authority to officially appoint him as the ambassador.


A cabinet meeting on October 20 recommended Paudyal as the Nepali Ambassador to Canada.
