The disruption occurred earlier in the day when a delegation, including the Secretary General of the United Nations, traveled from Kathmandu to visit Solukhumbu. This important visit resulted in a brief suspension of regular flights at Lukla Airport.

When questioned about the reason for halting regular flights for this VVIP moment, Lukla Airport Chief Umesh Panthi explained that the disruption was temporary. He clarified that the flights were briefly affected to accommodate special guests arriving from Kathmandu in the morning. Additionally, he reassured the public that regular flight operations to Lukla are currently back on track without further interruptions.
