Pakistani embassy provides scholarships to 110 students

Kathmandu, June 10: The Pakistani Embassy based in Nepal has provided scholarships to 110 students of Kathmandu and Chitwan districts. The Embassy provided scholarships amounting to Rs. 10,000 provided to each student.



The scholarship was provided to 90 students of six community higher secondary schools of Kathmandu and 20 students of two community higher secondary schools of Chitwan, who secured highest marks in SLC examination and 10+2 examinations. [break]



Handing over the scholarships to students through principals of the concerned schools at a programme organised here on Monday, Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal, Arshad Saud Khosa, said that such help will be continued in the days ahead.



He said the initiative, which was started two years ago, will be extended in the days ahead. Ambassador Khosa expressed the commitment that the Government of Pakistan will provide support as far as possible in the education sector as education development is the pillar of nation building.
