KATHMANDU, April 25: The Embassy of Pakistan in Nepal hosted its 12th Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony at Hyatt Place, Kathmandu, where 180 Nepali students from 119 schools received the prestigious ‘Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarships.’ The best students received a laptop in addition to the scholarship.
Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) Suresh Adhikari attended the event as the chief guest, awarding scholarships to the most deserving and brightest Nepali students selected by their respective school principals.
India awards 200 scholarships to Nepali students
According to a press statement issued by the Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu, Secretary Adhikari lauded Pakistan’s continued support in advancing technical education in Nepal. He stated that this commitment reflects the strong bonds between the two countries.
Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Abrar H Hashmi stated Pakistan’s dedication to the scholarship program and mentioned plans to extend cooperation from the tertiary level to secondary education in Nepal. He said encouraging Nepali youths in the fields of studies, sports, and healthy social activities is a “mainstay of our bilateral cooperation”.
This scholarship program, which started in 2013, has grown over the years and has gained considerable popularity among Nepali youths, the embassy said in the statement.
