The deceased is identified as 84-year-old Tanka Prasad Ojha of Budhabare-6 in the east of Jhapa.
Ojha was gored when he went to his cow shed to fetter the unruly ox, who unchained himself, with a rope, police said, adding that the adult castrated bull flipped him, killing him on the spot.
