One held for torching UML flag

Three individuals were suspected of involvement in the flag burning. Two of them are still on the run. DSP Bohara mentioned that efforts are underway to nab two others.

TULSIPUR, Feb 21: Police have arrested a man in Tulsipur on charge of burning a CPN UML party flag. Deputy Superintendent of Police Resham Bohara from the District Police Office informed that 55-year-old Buddhi Bahadur Basnet of Tulsipur-7 was held for torching the party flag. 



Three individuals were suspected of involvement in the flag burning. Two of them are still on the run. DSP Bohara mentioned that efforts are underway to nab two others.

Following the reports that Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman RaBi Lamichhane and leader Balendra Shah were scheduled to attend an event at Ghorahi, their supporters thronged Birendra Chowk in Tulsipur, Dang and torched the UML flag. 


Meanwhile, UML staged a protest at Ghorahi later Friday afternoon.
