"We´ll discuss the legal procedure to end the controversy over the legitimacy of Nepal Olympic Committee with the OCA President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah," said Lama before flying off to OCA headquarter in Kuwait.

There are two NOC bodies in the country following the October 4, 2010 verdict of the Supreme Court that had given a legitimate status to NOC headed by Rukma Shamsher Rana whereas International Olympic Council and OCA have been recognizing the Pradhan-led committee.

The current NSC leadership has been supporting Pradhan-committee following IOC´s letter on November 15 that recognized the committee led by by Pradhan.

"Besides the NOC controversy, we´ll discuss introducing Asian Mountain Games and hosting its first edition in Nepal," said Lama.

The NOC has floated the idea of introducing Asian Mountain Games, which include events like altitude race and other adventure sports, since last year.

"The visit will mainly focus on strengthening Olympic Movement in Nepal. The idea of Mountain Games will not be the major issue this time," said Jiwan Ram Shrestha, the general secretary, NOC.
