KATHMANDU, July 26: Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) felicitated the newly-appointed Member Secretary of the Nepal Sports Council (NSC) Ramesh Silwal amid a function held in the committee’s office in Lalitpur on Thursday.
Silwal was appointed as the member sectary of the NSC on July 8. In the same function, the NOC also formally welcomed Pitamber Timsina, who was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the NSC seven months ago.
Govt appoints Silwal as member secretary of NSC
During the program, Silwal said that he will try his best to unite all the associations that are at odds and make sure that South Asian Games (SAG) will be held in the stipulated time.
Vice- Chairman Timsina added that the NSC will coordinate all the associations and improve the standard of the sports in the country.
President of the NOC and a Parliament member Jeevan Ram Shrestha expressed his commitment to help Silwal during his tenure.
He praised the dynamism of Silwal and added that the NOC and NSC would work hand in hand to make any future projects successful for the development of the sports sector in the country.
