Federalism is failing due to the government's 'idiocy' : Dr. Shekhar Koirala

Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala blamed the 'idiocy' of the government to implement federalism in the country.  "Despite the government's two-thirds majority, it hasn't been able to implement federalism because of its idiocy," Koirala said in a press meet at the Nepal Press Union's office.

Prez Bhandari to return home today

President Bidya Devi Bhandari will return home after her four days official state visit to Qatar at the invitation of the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani. 

PM KP Sharma Oli recovering: Hospital

After stable test reports, the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular Centre at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was recovering well.  According to a press release issued by the hospital, "Today's test reports are positive and the prime minister is recovering well. He will soon be discharged."

Paragliding Accuracy World Cup kicks off from today

The Paragliding Accuracy World Cup (PGAWC) is being held from Thursday in Syangja. The tournament is being held for the first time in Nepal. Nearly 100 pilots from 21 nations have arrived in Syangja. The tournament will run for three days. The tournament is being held at Bheerkot and Waling municipalities in western Nepal. The players will participate by taking the flight from Swarek of Bheerkot-5 (1577m) and will land at Waling-11 (800m). 

Education Minister urges Korea to increase assistance to Nepal
Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokhrel has appreciated the Republic of Korea for the notable assistance it has provided to Nepal in development, study, training and ICT sectors. He expressed this during a meeting with the ROK ambassador to Nepal, Young-sik Park, at the Ministry of Education in Singha Durbar today. The Education Minister stated that the education sector from school to higher education of Nepal have benefited with the Korean support.
