The service, available to NIBL account holders with NIBL e-banking services, is also available on Yeti Airlines´ website -- www.yetiairlines.com -- and targets the bank´s over 270,000 customer base, it said. The website will provide information on flights and rates available on a given date and once the purchase is confirmed on the client´s e-Banking account, will provide the customer with the confirmation code that can be used at the airport.
“The partnership will help the customers to enjoy the ultimate banking experience by providing easier and convenient option for ticket purchase through secured website environment. It is also expected to propel the efficiency level of the distribution channel and reduce operational costs for the airline,” the statement reads.
NIBL also said that it had invested heavily on using technology for making payments and was looking towards using the system through mobile phones. The bank has 31 branches and an ATM network of over 58 kiosks.
CG FINCO partners IDBL
KATHMANDU, Sept 13: CG Finco Pvt Ltd, the principal agent of Western Union Money Transfer (WUMT) for Nepal, has partnered with International Development Bank Ltd (IDBL) to provide WUMT services through the bank. According to a statement issued Sunday, CG Finco General Manager Ashish Sharma and IDBL CEO Raja Ram Khadka inked the deal.
“This liaison will redefine the definition of remittance business sector of Nepal. Moreover, IDBL has really increased the profile of CG Finco with this new business partnership,” the statement quotes Sharma as saying. CG Finco has a network of over 650 agent partner locations.
Ace, WEAN sign MOU
KATHMANDU, Sept 13: Ace Development Bank has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Women Entrepreneurs´ Association (WEAN) to work jointly for the empowerment of the disadvantaged and needy women through generation of self-employment opportunities.
According to a press release issued by the association on Sunday, the MOU was signed between Siddhant Raj Pandey, CEO of the development bank and Rita Bhandary, president of the association.
As per the agreement, Ace will provide trainings and access to finance for implementation of business plans through WEAN to the needy in order to facilitate their financial needs. Ace has also agreed to provide grants worth Rs 100,000 to WEAN training fund, said the release.
