KATHMANDU, Oct 22: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday inclined 25.88 points to close at 2,665.81 points. 


The secondary market opened at 2,639.92 points and escalated 30 points in the first 21 minutes. The index then fluctuated before hitting the day’s low at 2,633.2 points in the next two hours. However, the market bounced back by adding around 32 points in the remaining trading hours before it closed for the day.

The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, also increased 4.47 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 4.17 billion from Rs 5.90 billion on Monday.


Among individual companies, 200 were gainers whereas 39 companies were recorded as losers.


All the 13 trading groups were the gainers. Manufacturing and processing added the largest of 148.19 points in its index.


Goodwill Finance Limited had the biggest turnover of its shares worth Rs 173.24 million. Rawa Energy Development Limited, by adding 8.86 percent in its market price, was recorded as the biggest gainer. Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited lost 4.75 percent of its market value and was the topmost loser.
