KATHMANDU, April 6: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday slid marginally by 8.28 points to close at 1,866.79 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,875.07 points and gained 13 points within a few minutes of trading. However, the market went downhill in the remaining trading hours.

The average market prices of only three groups including trading, non-life insurance and banking increased. Of the remaining 10 trading groups, development banks shed the highest of 42.13 points.
In the intraday trading, 165 listed companies gained in their market value, while 48 companies registered as losers. The sensitive index that measures the performance of the blue chips companies lost 0.92 points.
Daily turnover amount increased marginally to Rs 920.68 million from Rs 816.04 million on Wednesday.
In individual companies, Shivam Cements carried out transactions of its shares worth Rs 49.20 million and was the topmost in the list. Samling Power Company Limited was the highest loser, while Kalinchowk Darshan Limited gained the highest percent of its market value.
