KATHMANDU, Nov 5: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Sunday plunged 21.46 points to close at 1,826.23 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,847.70 points, went to a straight fall to the day’s low at 1,818.2 points in around the first two hours of trading. In the remaining hours before the market closed for the day, the index recovered around eight points.
Nepse stretches winning run with record weekly turnover
The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chip companies also declined 5.36 points. The daily turnover marginally increased to Rs 972.36 million from Rs 964.47 million on Thursday.
Only hotels and tourism added 18.75 points. The remaining 12 groups had their market prices declined in the intraday trading. Non-life insurance lost the highest of 112.18 points.
Among individual companies, the market values of 197 companies decreased whereas 35 companies posted gains in their indices.
Nabil Bank Limited Promoter Share had trading of Rs 46.08 million and stood at the top of the transaction volume lists. Himalayan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the top loser while NIC Asia Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited gained the highest of 6.97 percent of its market price.
