KATHMANDU, Sept 6: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Tuesday plunged 21.16 points to close at 1,951.84 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,973.01 points and gained around four points within the first few minutes. However, it went to a straight fall in the remaining of the trading hours. Total turnover also stood as low as Rs 1.19 billion.
Nepse up for a fifth consecutive week
Out of 13 trading groups, indices of only hotels and tourism and mutual funds increased with marginal values. Among the 11 losers, non-life insurance shed a three-digit value of 147.9 points.
In the individual companies, Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 91.41 million. Sanima Mai Hydropower was the top loser whereas Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha gained the biggest percent of its share value.
