KATHMANDU, Oct 11: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Tuesday declined 16.06 points to close at 1,855.16 points.
This is the second consecutive day that the secondary market has fallen by a double-digit point. On Monday too, the market index dropped by 27.16 points.
Nepse stretches winning run with record weekly turnover
On Tuesday, the market opened at 1,871.22 points and fell to as low as 1,850.13 points in the first one hour of trading. The market recovered by five points in the remaining trading hours for the day.
Due to the low confidence of the investors, the daily turnover plunged even lower to Rs 552.80 million in the intraday trading. On the first two days of the week, too, the transaction amount stood below Rs 1 billion.
In the individual companies, Nabil Bank had the biggest turnover amount of Rs 31 million. Bindhyabasini Hydropower Development Company was the top loser while Summit Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited gained the largest percent of its market value.
