3,729 new cases, 1,885 recoveries and 25 deaths recorded on Friday
Kathmandu, August 6: Nepal’s mortality rate has crossed the 10,000-mark, following the continuous rise in infection cases in the country.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Nepal recorded 3,729 cases of COVID-19 alongwith 1,885 recoveries and 25 deaths on Friday. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has reached 777,589 including 665,548 recoveries and 10,019 deaths.
A total of 9,493 PCR tests and 1,299 antigen tests were conducted on Friday. Of them 2,430 PCR tests and 1,299 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19.
Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 701 cases of COVID-19. Of them, 471 were detected in Kathmandu, 83 in Bhaktapur and 147 in Lalitpur.
There are currently 31,427 COVID-19 patients in home isolation, 3,515 in institutional isolation, 732 in ICU and 158 on ventilators
