KATHMANDU, June 9: Nepal recorded 4,344 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday along with 5,768 recoveries and 81 deaths.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 12,074 PCR tests and 4,568 antigen tests were conducted today. Of them, 3,449 PCR tests and 895 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19. With this Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has surged to 615,652 including 510,298 recoveries and 8,179 deaths.

There are currently 80,336 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 74,438 are in home isolation, 5,898 in institutional isolation, 1,312 in ICUs and 375 on ventilators.
Likewise, as many as 46 of 77 districts of Nepal have more than 500 active cases of COVID-19.
The Kathmandu Valley recorded 915 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Of them, 679 were detected in Kathmandu, 85 in Bhaktapur and 151 in Lalitpur districts.
