UML directs party committees to organize Constitution Day programs

KATHMANDU, Sept 17: The CPN-UML has directed all its subordinate committees to organize creative programs to mark Constitution Day this year.



UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel sent formal letters to provincial, district and local-level committees on Wednesday, instructing them to organize effective programs on September 19, the occasion of Constitution Day.

According to the party’s circular, the committees are expected to organize activities such as morning rallies, candlelight events, discussions and cleanliness campaigns based on the needs and circumstances of their respective areas.


The UML said the programs were being organized to mark Constitution Day as an event of national importance and to demonstrate the party’s commitment to protecting and fully implementing the Constitution at the grassroots level.
