KATHMANDU, Jan 1: Nepal recorded 382 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday along with 252 recoveries and zero fatalities, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 20,959 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 342 PCR and 40 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.
Nepal records 37 cases, 382 recoveries and zero death on Sunday
There are currently 5,085 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 4,728 are in home isolation, 241 in institutional isolation, 89 in ICUs, and 27 on ventilators. Similarly, 98 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,594 people have died of the viral disease across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 285 cases of the virus on Saturday. Of them, 244 were recorded in Kathmandu, nine in Bhaktapur, and 32 in Lalitpur districts.
