KATHMANDU, Dec 11: Nepal recorded 236 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday along with 307 recoveries and one death, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 9,178 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 194 PCR and 42 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 6,022 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 5,606 are in home isolation, 277 in institutional isolation, 112 in ICUs and 27 on ventilators. Similarly, 98 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,553 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 121 cases of the virus on Friday. Of them, 84 were recorded in Kathmandu, five in Bhaktapur, and 32 in Lalitpur districts.
