KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Nepal recorded 180 new cases of COVID-19 along with 400 recoveries and one death from the deadly virus on Saturday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 8,341 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 119 PCR and 61 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 3,966 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 80 are in self-isolation, six in institutional isolation, 2,773 in ICU’s and 1,107 on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,936 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 49 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 40 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, four in Bhaktapur, and five in Lalitpur districts.
