KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Nepal registered 110 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, along with 126 recoveries and one death from the virus, according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 3,827 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Of them, 60 PCR and 50 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

Across the nation, there are now 2,082 active cases of COVID-19. Of them, 1,999 are isolated by themselves, 63 are in institutional isolation and 20 are in intensive care units. So far, 12,016 people have died of the viral disease nationwide.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 25 cases of COVID-19 on Friday. Of them, 20 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, two in Bhaktapur, and three in Lalitpur districts. Similarly, Chitwan recorded nine new cases of COVID-19.
