KATHMANDU, March 4: Nepal recorded 126 new cases of COVID-19 along with 385 recoveries and one death from the deadly virus on Friday, according to the information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 8,933 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 111 PCR and 15 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 7,306 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 7,099 are in self-isolation, 143 in institutional isolation, 54 in ICUs and 10 on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,945 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 35 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 25 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, four in Bhaktapur, and six in Lalitpur districts.
