KATHMANDU, August 25: Nepal recorded 444 new cases of COVID-19 along with 307 recoveries and three deaths from the deadly virus on Thursday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 4,954 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 211 PCR and 233 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 4,251 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 4,026 are in self-isolation, 173 in institutional isolation, 50 in ICUs and two on ventilators. So far, 11,998 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 128 cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. Of them, 112 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, two in Bhaktapur, and 14 in Lalitpur districts.
