KATHMANDU, March 26: Nepal recorded eight new cases of COVID-19 along with 210 recoveries and zero death from the deadly virus on Saturday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 2,355 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, eight PCR tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 1,779 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 1,717 are in self-isolation, 41 in institutional isolation, 19 in ICU’s and two on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, Kathmandu recorded three cases of COVID-19 on the same day. No cases were reported in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur, the other two districts of the Kathmandu Valley.
