KATHMANDU, Dec 25: Nepal recorded 167 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday along with 226 recoveries and one death, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 6,447 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 157 PCR and 10 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.
Cases continue to rise, Nepal records 1,167 new cases on Sunday
There are currently 5,080 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 4,744 are in home isolation, 234 in institutional isolation, 81 in ICUs and 21 on ventilators. Similarly, 98 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,583 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 98 cases of the virus on Saturday. Of them, 68 were recorded in Kathmandu, four in Bhaktapur, and 26 in Lalitpur districts.
