KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Nepal recorded 211 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday along with 329 recoveries and two deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 9,451 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 197 PCR and 14 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 6,256 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 5,833 are in home isolation, 272 in institutional isolation, 121 in ICUs and 30 on ventilators. Similarly, 96 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,549 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 100 cases of the virus on Thursday. Of them, 64 were recorded in Kathmandu, eight in Bhaktapur, and 28 in Lalitpur districts.
