KATHMANDU, June 9: Nepal recorded 2,407 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday along with 3,994 recoveries and 46 deaths.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 7,517 PCR tests and 4,889 antigen tests were conducted today. Of them, 2,407 tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19. With this Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has surged to 628,942 including 531,105 recoveries and 8,412 deaths.

There are currently 68,955 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 64,744 are in home isolation, 5,211 in institutional isolation, 1,100 in ICUs and 347 on ventilators.
Likewise, as many as 44 of 77 districts of Nepal have more than 500 active cases of COVID-19.
The Kathmandu Valley recorded 653 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. Of them, 483 were detected in Kathmandu, 58 in Bhaktapur and 112 in Lalitpur districts.
