Nepal records 1,158 new cases, 1318 recoveries and 12 deaths on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, Sept 28: As many as 1,318 people recovered from COVID-19 in the country on Tuesday, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population. Similarly, Nepal recorded 1,158 new cases of COVID-19 and 12 deaths from the deadly virus on the same day.

There are currently 18,906 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 17,125 are in home isolation, 1,297 in institutional isolation, 364 in ICUs and 120 on ventilators. Similarly, 328 people are currently in quarantine facilities.

As many as 14,003 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Tuesday. Of them, 11,672 were tested through the PCR method while 2,331 through the antigen method.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 383 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 270 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 44 in Bhaktapur and 69 in Lalitpur districts.
