KATHMANDU, July 26: Nepal recorded 638 new cases of COVID-19 along with 218 recoveries and two deaths from the virus on Tuesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 5,055 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 400 PCR and 238 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 3,714 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. So far, 11,959 people have died of the viral disease across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 233 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Among them, 165 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 6 in Bhaktapur and 62 in Lalitpur district.
Meanwhile, Kaski district recorded 38 cases of the disease on the day.
