KATHMANDU, May 5: Nepal recorded 17 new cases of COVID-19 along with 15 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Thursday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
A total of 3,811 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 15 PCR and two antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 217 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 216 are in self-isolation and one in institutional isolation. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 14 cases of COVID-19 on the day. All these cases were recorded in Kathmandu district.
