The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast heavy rainfall from Thursday to Sunday, increasing the risk of landslides and floods. In response, the pre-monsoon preparedness and response command post has decided to halt night bus operations in the mountainous and hill districts on September 27 and 28, where the risk is particularly high.

Additionally, the NFRRMA has advised farmers in the Terai-Madhesh region not to harvest rice during this period. If harvesting has already begun, they are urged to store the crops immediately. Farmers are also requested to avoid leaving grain and other produce on the ground floor to minimize damage from potential flooding.
