KATHMANDU, April 6: Nepali Congress (NC) has termed the white paper on the nation's economy that was issued by the government recently is 'fabricated' and 'misleading'.
Speaking at the inauguration program of sixth National General Convention of Nepal Sarbajanik Sewa Karmachari Sangh President Sher Bahadur Deuba stated that the white paper lacked credibility.

Erstwhile PM Deuba refuted the NC role as reported in the white paper for bringing the nation's economy to the current situation.
"The governments formed after the 2006 people's movement in the country were mostly headed by leftists," he said, adding that the leftist governments in the past had roles in pushing nation's economy toward deterioration.
In a different program, NC leader Prakash Man Singh claimed that the NC did not 'spoil' country's economy as reported in the white paper. He said, "Don't delude the public with misleading and baseless information about the Nepal's economy.'
Admitting to a poor performance in recently held all three levels of elections, he in another context suggested bringing a change in party's vision and working style for better performance in next elections. He was addressing the 8th General Convention of Nepal Bittiya Sanstha Karmachari Sangh here today.
He also gave credit to the previous NC-led governments for promulgating the new constitution and making the three levels of elections successful. RSS
