General Secretary Thapa claimed that as long as he remains in the party, such decisions will not be taken. He mentioned that the party will not do what is prohibited by the constitution.

Thapa’s remarks came in response to the statement of writer Nayan Raj Pandey that the NC is making candidates who are accused of burning people in brick kilns and that there will be days when writers will have to write stories about those things.

Thapa said, "My brother Nayan Raj has said that it is Gagan Thapa’s party. However, he had also worked in this party before. I assure you that if the party members cannot proudly claim that it’s their decision, no such decisions will be taken.”

General Secretary Thapa also said that society cannot be run by rules and laws alone and that society needs love and compassion are also needed for the smooth functioning of the society.
