KATHMANDU, June 13: Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) has successfully hosted Nepal-China Sales Mission 2017 in Guangzhou, China.
Nepali Ambassador to China Leela Mani Poudyal; Li Jian Dep, the director general of Foreign Affairs Office, Guangdong; and Mao Cheng, the vice-chairman of Tourism Administration, Guangdong Province of PR China, graced the event, according to a statement issued b NATTA.
Around 200 Chinese tour operators, electronic and print media representatives, airlines operators and a few non-resident Nepalis living in Guangzhou participated in the program which was followed by Business2Business session which lasted for two and half hours.
Speaking at the program, Pouydal said Nepal's natural and historical heritage sites, and other attractions can be of interest to Chinese visitors. “The government is committed to facilitate Chinese travelers in Nepal,” he added.
Similarly, director general Li and vice-chairman Mao extended their best wishes for the success of the sales mission, and assured that the provincial government will encourage their citizens to visit Nepal.
Likewise, NATTA President Madhu Sudan Acharya said tourism not only has multiplier effect in the business and economy of the country, but helps in the growth and development of amity between the nations in general and their people in particular.
Sunil Sharma, officiating director of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), made a presentation on Nepali tourism attractions.
The mission, which is jointly being organized by NATTA, NTB, Nepali Embassy in China, and China Chamber of Tourism, will also be held in Hangzhou and Beijing.
