KATHMANDU, July 25 – The monsoon system remains weak across the country, and the monsoon trough is currently positioned near its average location, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM).
The DHM has forecast generally cloudy weather across the country during the day. Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is likely in some parts of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in hilly regions and other parts of the country. There is also a chance of heavy rainfall at one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, generally cloudy skies are expected over the hilly regions and Koshi Province, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in a few places in Koshi Province and isolated areas of other provinces.
The DHM has also mentioned the possibility of strong winds in some areas of the Terai region in Koshi and Madhesh provinces.
