KATHMANDU, Sept 22: The weather across the country is now partly to generally cloudy and some places have been witnessing rainfall due to the impact of the monsoon low pressure system today.
Meteorologist at the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Pratibha Manandhar said that light to moderate rainfall has been predicted in Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces this afternoon. A heavy rainfall is likely to take place in Sudurpaschim Province.

Similarly, there is a possibility of light rainfall in Sudurpaschim Province and hilly areas in the night. Although the weather in the Kathmandu Valley has remained generally cloudy today, there is no possibility of rainfall. However, light rainfall has been forecast in the Kathmandu Valley on Friday afternoon, added Manandhar.
The meteorologist shared, "There is no possibility of rain in Bagmati Province today. However, the sky will remain generally cloudy. Rainfall is likely to take place in Bagmati on Friday evening." Likewise, a few places of Province 1, Madhesh and Gandaki provinces have been witnessing light to moderate rainfall.
Light to moderate rainfall along with thunder and lightning has been predicted at some places of Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and a few places of the remaining provinces today. Today's minimum temperature of the Kathmandu Valley is projected at 26 degrees Celsius and maximum temperature at 30 degrees Celsius.
