Miss Tamang 2019 called for applications from interested Tamang females to unveil their hidden talent. The competition is jointly organized y Sadhana Kala Kendra and Everest Fashion Home. President of Fashion Home, Ranjita Lama stated that the competition is organized to promote art, culture, traditions and religion of Tamangs. She informed that the winner can further participate in international beauty pageants.

Participants in the competition must be Tamang and within the age of 16 to 28. Likewise, they must be taller than five feet. Deadline for application submission is on January 18. The first round of audition is scheduled for January 19.
According to the organizers, winner of the competition will get cash prize of Rs 100,000, a silver crown and gift hampers. Likewise, the first runner-up will bag Rs 50,000, and silver crown. The second runner-up will get Rs 25,000 and silver crown. The finale of the competition will be held on March 2.
