KATHMANDU, Feb 7: Women entrepreneurs drew the attention of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to ensure access to finance for women, which they argued is essential for the country's development. In a meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar on Friday, they emphasized that the role of women entrepreneurs is important in bringing about an economic revolution in the country.

A delegation of office-bearers and executive committee members of the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal (FWEAN), led by President Shobha Gyawali, drew PM Oli's attention to encouraging industries in which women are involved and to continuing the concessions being given to entrepreneurs.

President Gyawali informed the PM that the condition of industries run by women across the country is good and employment opportunities are also ample, and urged him to provide financial access to all women who want to become self-employed. Drawing the prime minister's attention to supporting domestic production, President Gyawali urged the government to continue the concessional loans and support provided to women entrepreneurs in the coming days.
